§ 4a. Tax for Funding of Public Library.

The city shall levy an additional one mill ($1 per $1000) each year for two years on the equalized assessed valuation of the city, over and above any limitation elsewhere appearing in this charter, for the purpose of acquiring, constructing and equipping a public library in conjunction with the Township of Otsego, provided that this section shall be null and void unless a similar voted millage of one mill for two years is approved by the voters of the Township of Otsego to pay for its share.
